What did we do for WHO?
The Regional Strategy for Traditional Medicine formed in Western Pacific Region (2011-2020) suggests five strategic objectives to boost the health potentials of traditional medicine. This strategy was certified by the Regional Committee for Western Pacific in 2011 to achieve universal health coverage. One of the most important strategies among these five strategic objectives is to encourage the safe and effective use of traditional medicine. It is also associated with one of the strategic objectives of the global WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy 2014-2023. It will aid in the quality commitment, proper use, safety, and efficiency of T&CM by regulating products, practitioners, and practices.
The remote training on the “Laboratory Capacity Building for improving quality control of Traditional Medicine” is a training designed to reinforce the capacity in quality assurance of Traditional Medicine in the Philippines. The Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development supported and helped in the development of this training module. Wishtree has designed and developed this online learning platform using LearnPress plugin and WordPress CMS.
